You can add audio to an Easel Activity by using the audio upload and record tools. These tools allow an audio file under 5 minutes to be inserted into any Easel Activity. Audio helps with accessibility for younger students and students with different learning modes and gives you more creative ways to engage your students.
Reminder: Only upload content you own or have the rights to use with our platform.
To upload audio to your Easel Activity, please:
- Open an existing Easel Activity or learn how to create a new Easel Activity from scratch.
- Click the “Audio” button in the upper toolbar and then select “Upload Audio.”
- When prompted, select the audio file you’d like to insert from your computer (Note: all major audio file types can be used except .wav files).
- Once the audio is finished loading, click “Upload.”
To record audio in your Easel Activity directly from Easel, please:
- Open an existing Easel Activity or learn how to create a new Easel Activity from scratch.
- Click the “Audio” button in the upper toolbar, and then select “Record Voice.”
- When the timer counts down from 3 and says “Recording,” you can begin to speak.
- Once you’ve finished your recording, click “Done.”
The audio file will be visible in the activity as a small icon, that you can resize and move around as needed. To play the audio, simply click on the audio icon to play or pause the audio.
If you’d like to use the same audio clip throughout the same resource, you can copy and paste the audio files within the Easel Activity.
